“Freaky” Ivan’s latest self-produced recording dropped this summer 2021 and features a up-tempo piano-driven beat. As a producer, he captures the sounds he imagines and poetically curates a soundtrack. Ivan’s upcoming EP debut will showcase what insiders have known all along; that center stage is his home. A one-man machine looking to create history in the world of entertainment and beyond.
Chattanooga born, and Atlanta raised, Ivan's musical roots began in childhood. His father was an internationally touring r&b singer, while his mother sang in the church choir. As a result, music was constantly being created, expressed, and played in their home. By the time he reached 11 years of age, Ivan's voice possessed a seasoned quality that belied his youth. His rise in the business began when he appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show after the shows' producer discovered him on YouTube covering The Jackson 5 hit “I’ll Be. The TV performance led to a tribute tour as the KING OF POP touring the US and Canada and entertaining enormous crowds with songs and dances made famous by the icon. Ivan’s profile continued to elevate when he was handpicked to join the cast of the Warner Bros. film Joyful Noise starring Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton and Keke Palmer.
After spending several years behind the camera, the consummate professional decided to focus his efforts behind the mic. In 2012, Ivan released “Scream,” a feel-good single that made its way across radio airwaves and onto BET’s 106 & Park. His brilliant vocal abilities ushered in the opportunity to open shows for Akon, Sisqó, Ginuwine and Vanilla Ice, in addition to performing on the Scream Tour.
