This week's New Books Newsletter brings plenty to the table with five titles to feed your brain. With high fantasy, mystery, dark comedy and more centered around food, the new books featured this last week of February are all about the things we eat, or wish we could. At Fulton County Libraries, we've got all the recipes you could want, fictional or in the pages of our cookbook collections.

The give away this week is set in the imaginary town of Blessings, Georgia. While we know the town doesn't exist, the appeal of a mass market romance paperback is all too real for many readers looking for a mid-winter escape. If you know of any friends or family who might enjoy this giveaway, or any other features of the New Books Newsletter, be sure to pass it along, or help them sign up at this link.
Not even Lake Eden's nosiest residents suspected Hannah Swensen would go from idealistic newlywed to betrayed wife in a matter of weeks. But as a deadly mystery unfolds in town, the proof is in the pudding.

When The Cookie Jar becomes the setting of a star-studded TV special about movies filmed in Minnesota, Hannah hopes to shine the spotlight on her bakery--not the unsavory scandal swirling around her personal life. But that's practically impossible with a disturbing visit from the shifty character she once believed was her one and only love, a group of bodyguards following her every move, and a murder victim in her bedroom. Now, swapping the crime scene in her condo for her mother Delores's penthouse, Hannah and an old flame team up to solve a case that's messier than an upended chocolate cream pie. As suspects emerge and secrets hit close to home, Hannah must serve a hefty helping of justice to an unnamed killer prowling around Lake Eden . . . before someone takes a slice out of her.

Chocolate Cream Pie Murder is the twentieth book in the Hannah Swensen series by Joanne Fluke, and you can click here to reserve it in hardcover or downloadable e-book. If you'd like to start with the first book in the series, or revisit any of the Hannah Swensen tales before starting the newest tale, Fulton County Libraries has you covered! You can reserve Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder in hardcover, epub download, or mp3 audiobook.
