IMPORTANT UPDATE
April 22, 2021

Dear valued member,

As you may already be aware, community spread of Covid-19 is a reality once again, especially in the central region of our province.

As a result, , the Government of Nova Scotia has implemented new restrictions for the Halifax Regional Municipality, Hubbards, Milford, Lantz, Elmsdale, Enfield, South Uniacke, Ecum Secum and Trafalgar region.

Effective 8:00 a.m. Friday, April 23rd (tomorrow) until Thursday, May 20th:

  1. Avoid traveling into and out of the restricted areas listed above unless absolutely necessary.
  2. If you live in the restricted areas and IF and only IF you are required to take essential care of your equine for health maintenance, you may travel outside of the restricted area to do so. Facilities are expected to enhance safety procedures during this period (i.e. no interaction between non-restricted area boarders/horse owners, less numbers in barn, mask wearing at all times except when mounted, scheduling and traceability, etc.).
  3. Within the restricted areas, essential exercising or training (not lessons) of equines is permitted for health maintenance.
  4. Competitions/clinics/events/lessons/non-essential training are not permitted in the restricted areas.

For members who live outside of the restricted area, current restrictions remain in place:

  1. Gathering limits without social distancing for participants and officials in organized performing arts and sports (recreational, amateur and professional) can gather in groups of up to 75 people without social distancing.
  2. Spectators are permitted at 50 percent of the venue’s capacity up to 100 indoor and 150 outdoor.
