President's Message

As we move through another busy spring season in Lancaster County, I continue to be encouraged by the growth, collaboration, and community spirit happening all across our county. From local events and new business investments to leadership programs and community partnerships, it’s exciting to see so many people working together to strengthen our local economy and quality of life.

May is also National Small Business Month, making it the perfect time to recognize the small businesses that help drive our economy, support local families, and shape the unique character of our communities. We are grateful for the hard work, innovation, and dedication of our local business community and proud to support their continued success. May is always a special time of year as we celebrate milestones, recognize achievements, and look ahead to the opportunities summer brings.

This month, we are especially proud of our Leadership Lancaster Class as they prepare to graduate after months of learning, serving, and building connections throughout our community. Programs like Leadership Lancaster continue to help develop informed, engaged leaders who care deeply about the future of Lancaster County.

As always, thank you to our Chamber members, volunteers, elected officials, educators, nonprofit leaders, and business community for all you do to help Lancaster County thrive. Your support and partnership continue to make a lasting impact as we work together to make Lancaster County the best place to live, work, and do business.

Advocacy

Join the Lancaster County Chamber for the first event in our 2026 Advocacy Business After Hours series. Business Voices: Connecting Business & Local Leadership is a casual advocacy and networking event designed to bring together local businesses and community leaders in an open, approachable setting.

Our first meet & greet will take place at the Lancaster County Airport on June 4th at 5:30 PM and will provide Chamber members and local professionals the opportunity to connect directly with local government officials, community leaders, and fellow business representatives.

Enjoy refreshments, meaningful conversations, and an evening focused on strengthening relationships between the business community and local leadership. Whether you are interested in advocacy, community growth, or simply making valuable connections, this free after-hours event is a great opportunity to engage with the people helping shape Lancaster County’s future.

Young Professionals Network

Our first YP Network event of the year was a great success! Young Professionals connected with USC Lancaster students through engaging roundtable discussions focused on real-world workforce preparation.

Topics included interviewing skills, building a strong professional presence, and using the STAR method.

A special thank you to YP Committee member Jeff Ramage for helping make this event possible, and to Bridget Plexico for facilitating a great conversation guide!
