Summer 2026 has arrived! School is out and the beach and mountains are calling! As you make family plans, please remember to support our Lancaster County businesses and “shop local” this summer.

From legacy businesses that have served our community for decades, to new entrepreneurs ready to establish themselves, small businesses are creating jobs and taking care of their employees.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, so let’s make this summer a great one for our business community!

CHAMBER NEWS

It's here! The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce is proud to launch the newest edition of The Lancaster Advantage Workforce Magazine!

More than 4,000 copies were delivered to the LCSD Career Center to be distributed to high school students across Lancaster County School District.

Our goal is simple: help the next generation discover the incredible education, training, and career opportunities available right here at home.

From earning industry certifications through the Career Center, pursuing higher education at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, attending specialized programs like The Paisley Effect, or training for high-demand careers through York Technical College, there are countless pathways to success. And once that training is complete, the opportunities continue with local employers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, manufacturers, healthcare providers, and growing industries throughout our county.

This publication isn't just for students—it's for the entire community. Over the coming weeks, copies will be distributed to local businesses, offices, and organizations so residents can learn more about the people, programs, and industries helping shape Lancaster County's workforce and future.

We were excited to share copies at last week's Business After Hours event, and we're grateful to every business, organization, and community partner who placed an advertisement, shared their story, or contributed to this publication.

Leadership Lancaster

Another incredible year of Leadership Lancaster has officially come to a close! Last month, we had the privilege of celebrating the graduates of the 2025–2026 class and recognizing the amazing journey, connections, and growth that took place throughout this year’s program!

Leadership Lancaster is the premier leadership development program of the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, designed to educate, challenge, and connect current and emerging leaders across Lancaster County. Using the community as a classroom, participants gain hands-on experiences, access to local leaders, and a deeper understanding of the people, industries, and organizations that shape our community.

Over the course of the seven-month program, participants take part in immersive sessions including History Day, Education Day, Healthcare & Social Services Day, Business & Industry Day, Cultural Arts Day, City/County Government Day, Legislative Day, Law Enforcement Day, and the highly anticipated Beach Retreat.

With more than 1,000 graduates over the past 37 years, the program continues to develop leaders passionate about serving and strengthening our community.

Save the Date! Applications for the 2026–2027 Leadership Lancaster class open July 1, with classes beginning in November 2026.

We were excited to host our very first Advocacy After Hours event!

Business Voices: Connecting Business & Local Leadership.

Held in the beautiful Lancaster County Government airport terminal, the evening brought together Lancaster County’s business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders for meaningful conversations, new connections, and a shared commitment to the future of our community.

Guests enjoyed networking and learning more about local leadership. Events like this help foster the relationships that make Lancaster County a great place to live, work, and do business.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our inaugural Advocacy After Hours such a success. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and building even stronger connections throughout our community.
