Granite Construction is completing excavation work on sites 920, 1016, and 932 West Cliff.

What is happening now?
- The team is reaching bedrock to support new infill walls, a crucial part of the West Cliff Stabilization project initiated in response to the 2023 January storms.
- Concrete work kicked off on November 9th and will continue in the upcoming weeks.
Weather Challenges
- Project sites are in challenging locations, with weather and changing ocean conditions influencing the timeline.
- Completion target: end of the year.
Extended Work Hours
- Granite Construction is authorized to extend weekday hours, some nights, and Saturdays to meet the aggressive project timeline.
- Early starts possible: Crews may commence work as early as 5 a.m. on Monday, November 13th, and Wednesday, November 15th.
