Min Yang
CEO, Winton China
Based in Hong Kong, Min is responsible for managing Winton’s investment, operations and business development in China. Min was CIO of Winton’s China Diversified Program until her promotion to CEO of Greater China in 2017, having originally joined the firm as a Researcher in 2012, focusing on research of Chinese markets. Min has previously worked at Goldman Sachs where she specialised in derivatives pricing in commodities and currencies, and was a postdoctoral researcher at California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Min holds a BS degree in physics from Beijing University and a Doctorate degree in physics from Caltech, where her research area was extragalactic radiation at the submillimetre wavelengths.
Mercedes Vela Monserrate
Associate Director, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Financial Services Regulatory Authority
Associate Director of International Affairs at the ADGM FSRA (Abu Dhabi Global Markets, Financial Services Regulatory Authority), Mercedes is spearheading ADGM’s work on Sustainable Finance and Gender Diversity, in addition to other ADGM-wide special projects, reporting directly to the CEO. Prior to joining ADGM, Mercedes worked at Senior levels in the public and private sectors in Brussels and London. Her professional history includes positions at Morgan Stanley, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the European Parliament.
Saleha Osmani
Chairperson, 100 Women In Finance Middle East
Prior to founding Capital Advisory Group, Ms. Osmani served most recently as Managing Director and Head of Cap Intro and Prime Brokerage Sales for the Middle East at Societe Generale. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, she has deep familiarity across a broad range of alternative investment strategies and all aspects of manager selection, fund marketing and capital placements. Ms. Osmani is a past recipient of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) award for ‘Best Capital Introduction Specialist’ and in 2017 was named one of 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds globally by The Hedge Fund Journal. In addition, she currently chairs the Middle East location of 100 Women in Finance, which she launched in 2015, and has served in the past as an executive committee member of AIMA’s Middle East chapter.
