New this school year, Naviance will help ninth-grade students
explore careers, learn about salaries, skill qualifications and career options.
Naviance allows your student to:
  • Begin concretely planning for life after high schoolBuild a resume and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.
  • Research colleges and set personal goals – Compare GPA, standardized test scores and other statistics to actual historical data from students who have been admitted in the past.
  • Learn from professionals – Watch and learn from professionals across the country with in-depth career videos with salary information.
  • Create future plans – Teachers will instruct and lead students to plan for future college and career goals.
Naviance is NOT...
  • Replacing or removing the important work of a school counselor.
  • Replacing current core content curriculum.
  • A time-intensive tool to learn and master to be successful in the classroom.
For the 2022-2023 school year, ninth-graders will be using Naviance in a variety of ways.
