A Season of Growth, Connection & Opportunity

Fall is an exciting time at the Center for Public & Nonprofit Management. From welcoming new cohorts and preparing to celebrate our Certified Public Manager graduates to expanding opportunities for mentorship and professional development, there's so much happening across our community. We're excited to share a few updates, celebrate the people who make our work meaningful, and highlight opportunities to connect, learn, and grow with us.

In Loving Memory of Dr. Floun'say Caver

This past August, we lost a beloved instructor, friend, and colleague, Dr. Floun'say Caver. An important part of both our Leadership Academy and Public Management Academy, Floun'say generously shared his knowledge, experience, and passion for public service.

Beyond his accomplishments, we will remember his humility, kindness, and genuine care for others. He touched countless lives, and we were fortunate to have him as part of our CPNM family.

He will be deeply missed, and our hearts are with everyone who knew and loved him.

Our Certified Public Manager Fall Programs Are in Full Swing!

October brought the exciting launch of two new cohorts: Leadership Academy 46 and Public Management Academy 18. Both are off to a fantastic start, and we're thrilled about the incredible groups joining us this fall. We can't wait to see the connections they build and the impact they'll make in their organizations and communities

Mentoring the Next Generation of Public Service Leaders

Our CPNM Mentoring Program is gearing up for another exciting year. This program brings together Cleveland State University students and experienced public and nonprofit professionals to build meaningful connections, share experiences, and help prepare the next generation of leaders. As our program continues to grow, we're always looking for passionate professionals who want to give back by serving as mentors. It's an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's professional journey
