Dear Friends,
I write on behalf of the HERS Team, our Gala Event Committee, and our Board to share a major gala update and other news.
People with Purpose Pink Tie Gala -- NEW DATE is August 22nd!
In light of the COVID-19 crisis and in the interest of public health and safety, our May 2nd
People With Purpose Gala
has been postponed. As health services providers, we must help safeguard patient and community health, and do our part to prevent virus transmission.
Please mark your calendar for Saturday, August 22, 2020, and join us!
The coming 5+ months should allow time for those impacted by the virus to heal and for our communities to regroup. Our venue remains the same (Castlewood Country Club) and our highly anticipated event elements -- entertainment, dinner, silent and live auctions, and our HERS Awards presentations -- will be included.
I've already begun the process of reaching out to sponsors, donors, and ticket buyers to inform them of our date change. Our website will be updated very soon to reflect our new event date of Saturday, August 22nd. Ticket and table sales will continue, and new sponsors and in-kind donations are always welcome!
Health & Safety Measures
We care deeply about our patients, staff, and our communities and have stepped up our already vigilant protocols for hygiene, including frequent hand washing, surface cleaning, and more.
We're following health and safety recommendations set by our Program Store location Community Partners (Washington Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Stanford Health Care ValleyCare). In addition, we're closely monitoring county, state, and federal health agency updates. I'm also grateful to our
Board Members,
who are providing outstanding support.
Stronger Together
The HERS Team is here for our patients, donors, volunteers, and one another. We remain, as always,
"a soft place to fall" --
ready to support breast cancer survivors and ready to provide compassionate, professional services in our beautiful spaces.
Warm regards,
Tina
