We're back, we're cool, and we've great sale savings coming
And just like that, it's almost the end of June, and we're back from the heat of Sandown Park – and boy, was it hot! – into the calm of our air-conditioned warehouse, which is feeling even better now we're being warned of more heatwaves on the way. 40C, anyone?

Henley's jam-packed right now, as the Royal Regatta is in full swing, but why not plan a grand day out to visit us? Celebrate Summer with the vintage blooms of Sienna

With Royal Ascot behind us, the Royal Regatta on now and Wimbledon on the horizon, the Summer season is certainly here – and with it come the beautiful florals of the Sienna collection, by Max and Louise for Andover Fabrics.

Named after the designers' granddaughter, Sienna is full of vintage floral prints in soft mints, mauve, pink and blues. It's available by the metre, and also in a choice of Fat Quarter packs: as well as the 28-piece Full Collection pack, there's a handy four-piece pack of co-ordinating fabrics.

Create a lasting Impression with these National Gallery panels
We've had all kinds of ideas for projects featuring the Craft Cotton Company's collection of panels featuring French Impressionist paintings from the National Gallery.

Beautifully printed, they feature works such as Cezanne's Avenue at Chantilly, seen here – and a visitor to our stand at Sandown had us thinking again.

He bought this panel, which measures a generous 35x44in and is just £13.99, to make the lining for a jacket. Hmmm – now there's an idea...
Stunning Sandown inspirations
This dramatic design – What I Did Last Lockdown, by Ferret – makes full use of both Amelia Caruso's Effervescence fabrics for Robert Kaufman and the shifting tonalities of Lewis & Irene's Ombrés.
Where does the picture end and the stitching begin in this brilliant quilt by JoAnne Clymes, The Long Path Home?

It's a very clever use of mixed media, with the two elements fading into each other – you could achieve a similar effect using Prym's Photo Printable Fabric to incorporate your pictures into your own designs.
If you're inspired by this remarkable Sunflowers design by Hayling Island Piecemakers, we stock a wide range of sunflower fabrics to get you started.
A wonderful take on the daunting Storm at Sea quilt, again by Ferret, who admits this was a long-term project. Our exhibition of work by international award-winning quilter Megan Manwaring, A Contemporary Take on Traditional Quilts – an Australian Perspective, has been so popular we've extended it until July 6th.

And on July 4th, Megan will be with us from 10.30am to 2pm – come and meet her and talk quilting.

While the whole of Henley seems to be full of people in white trousers, loud blazers and boaters, we're keeping busy in the Warehouse preparing for our Summer Sale.

But we did find time to sort out this rowing-themed fabric for the
'blade on the feather' set, so we think we've done our bit for the Regatta!
