Exit Laughing added to the 2023 season!

Photo by Lonnie and Kim Thurston.

Dear Lisa,

Due to unforeseen personal circumstances affecting the production team, we are sad to announce that The Crucible will no longer be a part of the 2023 season.

We know that many were looking forward to seeing or participating in The Crucible, but we are very thrilled to announce that an exciting new play has been selected in its place!

Exit Laughing by Paul Elliott, directed by Karen McCarty, will grace the Pentacle stage June 9th through July 1st.

A winner of the AACTNewPlayFest with record-breaking reception, Exit Laughing follows Connie, Leona, and Millie - three southern ladies from Birmingham - who have recently lost a close friend. After trying to "borrow" their friend's ashes from the funeral home for one last girl's night, the evening spirals into the wildest, most thrilling night of their lives and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you're truly living.

Current ticket holders for The Crucible have the option of letting their tickets transfer over to Exit Laughing, receiving a credit or swapping their tickets to another show, donating the cost of their tickets back to the theatre, or requesting a refund.
