3 Ways to Worship! Worship at 9 AM & 11 AM this Sunday, in person and online

Sunday at 9 AM
In-person, interactive Family Worship for children, youth, adults

Sunday at 11 AM
Classic CCE Worship, in-person or livestreamed to YouTube

Both services give an opportunity to join with others in sacred ways, offer prayer and praise, and prepare ourselves to meet the week ahead. In between the two worship services, we will gather outside to enjoy a cupcake and celebrate 28 years of ministry!
This Sunday, a fresh expression begins. The new Family Worship service has something for ALL ages.
Come check it out! The Family Worship service will take place Sundays at 9 AM and will invite active participation from all ages, engaging children, youth, and adults at age-appropriate levels. Bring your whole selves, move around, and worship God. The liturgy is meaningful and accessible, relevant to people of all ages and in all stages of life. Give it a try!
This Sunday, we celebrate! Join us for our our annual "birthday" party
Happy Birthday to us! Christ Church is celebrating our 28th "birthday" on Sunday, September 12 and you are invited to a sweet time together. The celebration includes special worship at 9 AM and 11 AM with an informal time of festive fellowship on the lawn between the two services. Cupcakes will be served! You can eat your cupcake while visiting with others, or take it home to be enjoyed later.

Special Diocese Day of Commitment on Saturday, September 18
As we emerge from the pandemic, many youth and adults are ready to be Confirmed or Received into The Episcopal Church, or to Reaffirm their baptismal vows. On Saturday, September 18, the Diocese of Virginia's Day of Commitment will offer an opportunity for such candidates and others to gather to make their vows and to celebrate their adult commitment. This special ceremony will take place at two local churches, including Christ Church. With grateful hearts for God’s call to us all to be disciples of Jesus, and fellow journeyers of the Way of Love, we ask your prayers for the all persons preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation or be received by the bishop into The Episcopal Church on September 18.
Help the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan

As Christians we are called to help those in need. We know your hearts are breaking for the people of Afghanistan and that you want to support our brothers and sisters in this ongoing humanitarian crisis.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS THE TOP PRIORITY
The greatest need continues to be assistance with housing and your donations make a difference. Episcopal Migration Ministries, the refugee resettlement and migration ministry of The Episcopal Church, is currently working in partnership with the U.S. government to assist our Afghan allies with resettlement and direct services through a network of 12 affiliates across the U.S. Please donate to EMM if you can.
Prayer Station for Haiti
As soon as the news of Haiti's August earthquake made it's way to Glen Allen, Christ Church began praying and mobilizing. How could we help a country with which we have such a long and beautiful relationship? A new prayer station is available in the Sanctuary. Stop by as you are able to offer your prayers and make space in your heart for Haiti. You are also invited to use the video below as a guided time of prayer.
Use your hands for good! We volunteer at Shalom Farms 2 days each every month.
The mission of Shalom Farms is to work with communities to ensure access to healthy food and the support to live healthy lives. Through sustainable food production and hands-on experiences at the farm and in the city, Shalom Farms provides thousands in Richmond with access to healthy food…and healthy lives.

Christ Church is committed to serving one Tuesday and one Saturday each month. On Saturdays, we join our friends from West End Islamic Center, so it's an opportunity to provide food for those in need, and extend a hand of hospitality to our Muslim neighbors.
