Mt Pleasant Animal Medical Center is proud to announce the opening on November 24th of its brand-new, full-service animal care facility located in the heart of Smithtown, NY. The modern center is designed to deliver exceptional veterinary care with a focus on advanced medical services, compassionate treatment, and a warm, welcoming environment for pets and their families.

Dr. John T. Corso is a proud native of Smithtown, New York. After graduating from Hauppauge High School in 1995, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hofstra University. He then pursued his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine through training at the prestigious Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, in conjunction with Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

With nearly two decades of experience in veterinary medicine and surgery, Dr. Corso brings extensive expertise in small animal care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, and emergency and critical care.

The center features cutting-edge diagnostic and surgical technology, spacious treatment areas, and thoughtfully designed waiting and exam rooms to help reduce stress for pets and their owners. In addition to medical services, the center offers nutritional counseling, behavioral consultations, and compassionate end-of-life care, ensuring support through every stage of a pet’s life.
