Extended Summer Hours are now in effect:

Monday: Take-out only: 10 AM - 5 PM
Tuesday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday: 1 PM – 7 PM
Thursday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Friday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
Sunday: Closed

You can come into the library to browse, borrow items and use our public computers and wi-fi.
We have seats and tables available in our meeting room for quiet work and study space.

Please follow our guidelines to keep you and our community safe:
  • Wash your hands or use provided hand sanitizer
  • Face masks are recommended in public indoor spaces for all people 12 and older who are not yet fully vaccinated
  • Do not enter the library building if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19

Squamish Summer Reading Club
Joining the Summer Reading Club at the Squamish Public Library is easy!
Come down to the library to pick up your reading record and start reading!
Record your reading every day to become eligible to win prizes at our weekly draw.

This year we are offering a variety of online/remote programs including games, puzzles, crafts, art/colouring contests, outdoor scavenger hunts, author visits, book talks, etc.

All school-aged children are welcome to join this free program.

Outdoor Family Storytime in the Park: Starting July 16
Wednesdays at 4:00 pm
Wednesdays at 5:00 pm
Fridays at 10:00 am

In-person Family Storytimes are back starting Friday, July 16! Join us outside at the O’Siyam Pavilion for a half-hour Storytime. 

Our Family Storytimes are interactive – we sing, we dance, and, of course, we read. These fun programs are a great way to help your young children develop language and to foster a love of books. All ages are welcome, no registration is required.

Location: O’Siyam Pavilion at Junction Park, Downtown Squamish
