Black History Study Tours and Viare Travel present an educational experience of a lifetime on our 16-day tour of Brazil!

Discover the Brazilian afro-indigenous heritage through its legacy and cultural assets. Work with local providers and community leaders, throughout the country, to create a unique experience that is true to each community and destination you’ll visit. This is not a run-of-the-mill visit to major cities such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Salvador, which you’ll find at most travel companies. This is a dive into an incredibly important part of our culture, with those helping to preserve it, on the ground.

Whether in major cities, small towns, or “quilombo” villages, you will visit several sites of memory, museums and UNESCO World Heritage sites of special interest to the Afro-Brazilian community, on this tour. You will also get a chance to visit parts of the tropical Atlantic Forest, bathe in the warm waters of our beaches and visit glimmering waterfalls!

There will also be free time to explore and make your own discoveries.
