We have received updated information regarding the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and the required Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report this afternoon (December, 27, 2024).



On December 23, 2004, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted a stay of the injunction pending appeal. The Treasury then extended the deadline to mid-January. Then, on December 26, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated its decision to stay the preliminary injunction. As a result, the nationwide injunction preventing enforcement of the CTA is currently in effect pending further legal proceedings.

Because the Texas Top Cop nationwide injunction against the CTA reporting requirements is currently in effect, entities do not have to report for now.

Voluntary reports can still be filed through FinCEN’s E-filing portal at: https://www.fincen.gov/boi.
