Another local farmer gave us lots of fresh-picked sweet corn this week. Sure, you can dress up sweet corn with any number of flavored butters or cut it off the cob for salads. Me? I prefer it simply prepared with butter, salt and pepper.

What Are We Up To in the Shop: Salford Air Cart Installation
CTCT-20180725_090639
This week we spent some time in Bucyrus, OH hooking up a Salford single tank air cart to a Salford 41' 1100 VT tillage tool. The purpose here is to plant 80 lbs of oats/ acre to chop later this fall, This combination works great for seeding oats, wheat, beans and also incorporation fertilizer!
Most people are familiar with Salford for their independent series vertical tillage tools over the past 10 years. Salford has always been unique sticking with their non-ganged machines in a gang machine world. But not many know about the fertilizer application line up offered by Salford, Fennig Equipment is here to change that. Salford offers every avenue of dry fertilizer application products, pull-type spreader, high capacity air cart, air boom, Valmar 56 series boxes, and Valmar ST series fertilizer banders. In the game of strip till, or applying dry fertilizer in an efficient manner, no other company can offer what Salford has up their sleeve. Gov. Kasich is making moves to make the Salford lineup even more crucial to fertilizer placement her in OH and The Salford Group is no stranger to the 4R's. If you are serious about placing fertilizer, give our team a call. 419-953-8500
