Winter Weather Webinar Recap
On October 20th PGANE's new weather service hosted a winter weather forecasting webinar to provide members the opportunity to meet our new weather service, National Weather Forecasting, and get their assessment of the atmospheric and oceanic features that will drive the 2023-2024 winter season. Here's a simplistic overview of what was covered:
- Looks like an El Nino flavored winter
- They expect the coldest weather in February and March
- Heavier than normal snowfall possible Southern New England southward
- Near normal temps Northern New England but colder than normal elsewhere
- November and December MAY bring some more periods of anomalous warmth.
-
Our new service from National Weather Forecasting provides forecasts and heating degree-day data for 200 locations across the Northeast at no charge for PGANE members. We can add any region in the United States – just let us know what you need!
