NEW IBERIA, La. -- The Bayou Teche Museum has announced the following updates to its music exhibit.
The exhibit has been completely redone and now features Bunk Johnson's trumpet on loan from the Bunk Johnson Festival Board, Grammy-nominated musician, Corey Ledet's accordion, and the trombone played by Coonsoon Girouard of the Louisiana Six.
Remaining in the exhibit are the saxophone and flute played by Wilbert Hebert of the Louisiana Six, as well as several rare albums and sheet music. The museum is located at 131 E. Main St. in New Iberia and hours are Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and any other time by appointment.
