GPB Education app. This virtual field trip takes students on a journey throughout the state of Georgia, guiding them through twelve of the state's physical features and explaining the relative location of each, as well as their environmental characteristics, historical connections, and much more.

Savannah and Peaches need your help! They have been invited to participate in a race to find historical artifacts across the great state of Georgia.
If they beat the clock and some tough competition to win the race, Savannah and Peaches will win $100,000 and naming rights to a wing of the Cashworth Museum that will protect the artifacts for years to come.
Aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for 8th grade social studies, the game leverages primary source documents and rich historical content for an engaging, story-based, educational experience. Georgia educators and students were included in the development process, allowing crucial feedback to guide production. The game was designed to work across web and mobile platforms and is available online and on mobile devices.

Mark your calendars for March 15-25, 2017, for the fourth annual
Atlanta Science Festival. If you haven't been before, you are in for a treat!
The 10-day long Festival is packed with 100 events scattered across the metro region, and has something to offer for everyone. For kids and families, there are robotics events, science story times, nature walks with scientists...last year the Festival even featured the Science of Circus! If you are looking for something for adults or older kids, there are food events, trivia nights, and a good dose of science comedy as well. Of the 100 events that connect science to everyday life, there is something for everyone in every part of town.

The Georgia Science & Engineering Fair
(GSEF) is Georgia's premier forum for students to showcase their original research, compete for awards, and interact with top-level professional scientists. The 69th Georgia Science & Engineering Fair will take place at the Classic Center in downtown Athens, GA, Thursday, March 30, through Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Until then, students across the state will compete at the local and regional levels for a spot at the state fair. GPB would like to encourage sponsoring teachers to share their "Road to GSEF"
story with us. Tell us about your students' research, process, problem-solving strategies, challenges, and successes with their projects.
Submissions will be appear on our "Road to GSEF" blog leading up to the state fair and could be featured at the awards ceremony on April 1!
