The last few weeks of Summer are already upon us, and as we look ahead, NEWEA has a busy season coming up.

In this issue of the newsletter, we've released the program and registration link for several of our Fall conferences, including our Contaminants of Emerging Concern/Plant Operations, Energy/Plant Operations, and Risk & Resiliency Conferences. These conferences are happening all throughout New England and are a great opportunity to earn Training Contact Hours (TCH), learn the latest in water quality technologies and innovations, and network with fellow water professionals.

Additional conferences this Fall include the Residuals and Biosolids and Small Communities Conferences. More information will be released soon.

We are also still accepting abstracts for our IT/Asset Management Fair, which is being co-hosted by NEWWA. All abstracts must be submitted by August 30. Scroll down to learn more.

In addition to our technical conferences, we have some opportunities to connect with your water industry colleagues and friends in more relaxed settings. The Women's Environmental Network is hosting their annual Summer Event at Sam Adams Taproom in Boston this Wednesday, August 16, and NEWEA's Fall Golf Tournament will take place at Derryfield Country Club on September 29. More information and links to register can be found below.

Check out the rest of the newsletter for more on committee news and details on upcoming events. Until next newsletter, we hope everyone has a great month and stays healthy.

As always, we invite you to contact Jordan Gosselin at jgosselin@newea.org with committee news and updates you would like to share in future editions.

The fair will consist of a combination of technical presentations and “learning stations”, where actual demonstrations of technology may be made in a small group interactive forum.

Submit an abstract by August 30.

Impacts & Innovations in Plant Operations

Join us on September 13 for a jam-packed conference covering the latest in CEC research, regulations, and technologies—not to mention practical ways and encouragement for dealing with CECs in plant operations. The CECs of focus will be per- and polyflouroalkyl substances (PFAS). The program features a keynote by Tiffany Skogstrom, Director of the MA Office of Technical Assistance and Technology; technical presentations; and an expanded Vendor Showcase, providing attendees with information and insights to help your facility address PFAS in your part of the water cycle.
