It feels like New England summers go by faster every year. The sun is officially now setting before 8:00 PM, and Labor Day is just three weeks away.
Before the summer ends, NEWEA is hosting some fun events that give members a chance to get out and connect with their water industry peers. On August 25, Women's Environmental Network (WEN) and NEWEA are hosting their 28th annual Summer Co-Ed Event at the Atlantic Wharf in Boston. This evening will feature refreshments, networking, and discussions of employee benefits. NEWEA's Young Professionals Committee is hosting a WooSox Outing on August 31. The price of a ticket includes admission to the game, food and non-alcoholic beverages, and space reserved in the 3rd Base Bullpen Terrace with your NEWEA colleagues. Additionally, next month we will be hosting our annual Fall Golf Tournament at Derryfield Country Club on September 30. Links to all of these events can be found below.
Once we get into Fall, our calendar begins to fill up again with technical conferences and sessions, including a sustainability webinar on September 7, the Energy & Plant Operations Technical Session and Tour on September 15, and the Northeast Residuals and Biosolids Conference November 1-2. Registration is open for the Energy & Plant Ops event and the sustainability webinar, and more information about the Residuals and Biosolids Conference will be available soon.
We will also be releasing information about our 2023 Annual Conference & Exhibit soon, including our annual Sponsorship and Advertising program and general Exhibit registration. Stay tuned for updates.
