February's dreary weather and minimal sunshine can make this short month feel endless, but Day Light Savings and an extra hour of sunlight is just five weeks away and the first day of Spring is six weeks away.
In the lead-up to Spring, NEWEA will be working on planning upcoming events, including our Young Professionals Committee's next Poo and Brew, the Energy and Plant Ops Conference, and the 2022 Spring Meeting.
We are currently accepting abstracts for the Spring Meeting, which will take place May 22-25, 2022 at the Mount Washington Resort. We encourage the submission of abstracts on the following topics: Clean Water Act Success Stories, Climate Change, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Energy Reuse, Infrastructure Bill and ARPA Funding, Innovation, Resiliency, and Working in a COVID Environment. All abstracts are due by Friday, February 11.
Check out the rest of the newsletter for more on committee news and details on upcoming events. Until next newsletter, we hope everyone has a great month and stays healthy.
As always, we invite you to contact Jordan Gosselin at jgosselin@newea.org with committee news and updates you would like to share in future editions.
