In Memory of Mark Bernier, David Goncalves, and Terrance "Terry" Campbell
It is with great sadness that we inform the membership that we recently lost three dear members of our New England water community, Mark Bernier, David Goncalves, and Terrance "Terry" Campbell.

Mark W. Bernier, age 64, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on November 18, 2021, following a brief illness. He was born in Nashua, NH on August 17, 1957, son of the late Leo and Glenda (Jewett) Bernier. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Nashua as a foreman for the wastewater treatment plant, where he worked for 25 years. Donations may be made in Mark’s name to the Amedisys Home Health Care, 8 Commerce Dr., Suite # 101, Bedford, NH 03110. An online guest-book is available at www.davisfuneralhomenh.com.

David G. Goncalves, 46, reunited with his father on December 8, 2021. He was the husband of Rebecca (Menke) Goncalves with whom he shared a loving marriage with for 19 years. David was a life-long resident of Ludlow, graduating from Ludlow High School in 1993. He then went on to receive a BS in chemical engineering at WPI where he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta and made many lifelong friendships. David became an accomplished Professional Engineer certified in both Massachusetts and New York. Throughout his 24 year career he proudly worked his way from a skilled project manager at Black & Veatch, Tighe & Bond and most recently Territory manager for the Greater New England Area at Mott MacDonald. In lieu of flowers please donations in David’s name to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.

Terrance Lewis Campbell passed away peacefully on December 21, 2021, after battling cancer. Terry (as he was known to his many friends) was born in Bath, Maine on December 21, 1942, the son of Harold and Priscilla Campbell. Terry was a lifetime member of several environmental organizations, including the Water Environment Foundation (WEF) and the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA). In 2010 NEWEA recognized his contributions by presenting him with the 2009 Clair N. Sawyer Award for outstanding service to the wastewater industry. A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry Campbell Memorial Fund at NEWEA, online at https://newea.org/donate or by mailing a check to NEWEA, Attn: Terry Campbell Memorial Fund, 10 Tower Office Park, Suite 601, Woburn, MA 01801.
NEWEA's Staff and Senior Management Team would like to extend our gratitude to our supporters and members who made a contribution to NEWEA on Giving Tuesday, or at any point during 2021. Last year continued to present unique challenges that required us to make changes to the way we work and connect with one another.

Generous contributions made in 2021 helped to support our virtual and hybrid technical conferences and networking events; the growth of our Water Warriors Jobs Initiative; and the creation of outreach materials to promote awareness about the essential work water professionals perform for their communities.

If you haven't contributed to NEWEA yet, there are still opportunities to make a donation, raise money for NEWEA while you do your shopping, and share your stories about how NEWEA has positively affected you.

Thank you again for your generosity. We greatly appreciate the support of our members, sponsors, and partners.
