The NEWEA Small Communities and Sustainability Committees continue to accept abstract submissions for "Sustainability in Small Communities", their jointly hosted one-day conference addressing the sustainability practices of wastewater systems designed to handle less than 1 MGD.
This conference will take place September 8, 2025 at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA.
Submit online by May 16, 2025. Presenters will be expected to register for the conference, and no travel or assistance funds are available for speakers.

| | Enroll to Compete in & Register to Attend the Source Water Brewers Competition | | |
With the goal of increasing public awareness of water quality, NEWEA is seeking homebrewers for our Source Water Brewers Competition.
This friendly competition will challenge each brewer to create an original beer using local source water from your tap. Brewers must provide 150-300 ounces of beer in bottles, cans, growlers, or kegs for pouring at the Source Water Brewers Competition on August 6, 2025 at Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA. Prior to the competition, a tour of Harpoon's wastewater treatment plant will be offered.
