September went by so quickly, it's hard to believe that we're already sending out the October newsletter. The increasing number of webinars, specialty conferences, and networking events this past month certainly contributed to the quick pace of September at NEWEA.
Last week, we held our first in-person specialty conference since the beginning of the pandemic. More than 80 masked attendees joined us in-person at the Portsmouth Harborside Hotel for the 2021 CSO/Wet Weather Issues Conference. We were also joined by attendees who couldn't be there in person via our virtual event platform.
There are two more opportunities this week to join us in person and virtually at NEWEA events. On Thursday, October 7, NEWEA and NEBRA are co-hosting the 2021 Northeast Residuals and Biosolids Conference at the UMASS Lowell Conference Center. There are also opportunities to attend virtually. Additionally, we'll be hosting our Fall Golf Tournament in person on Friday, October 8 at the Derryfield Country Club in Manchester, NH. There are still opportunities to register for both of these events. The registration links are below.
Next month, we will also be co-hosting the 2021 Information Technology/Asset Management Fair with NEWWA. This event is happening in-person at the NEWWA Training Center on November 2. On November 9, we'll be co-hosting an Infiltration and Inflow Webinar with the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association.
As we return to in-person events, we continue to update the Health and Safety page on our website with guidelines for attending NEWEA events. More information will be available on this page, especially as it pertains to our 2022 Annual Conference & Exhibit, as we progress into the Fall and Winter.
Check out the rest of the newsletter for more on committee news and details on upcoming events. Until next newsletter, we hope everyone has a great month and stays healthy.
As always, we invite you to contact Jordan Gosselin at jgosselin@newea.org with committee news and updates you would like to share in future editions.
