YP Summit Call for Abstracts

NEWEA's Young Professionals Committee is seeking abstracts from young water professionals for their 2025 Young Professionals (YP) Summit, taking place January 26, 2025 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place in Boston, MA. 


Speaking at the YP Summit is a great opportunity to gain presentation skills in front of an audience of your peers. Presentations should be fifteen minutes in length and should cover technical topics related to clean water, drinking water, stormwater, and water resources. Submit an abstract by September 30, 2024. A member of the Young Professionals Committee will reach out to you in November 2024 with acceptances. 

Connecticut: Registration is now open for CTWEA's Fall Workshop, taking place on October 2 in Plantsville, CT.


Maine: MEWEA's Fall Convention is happening September 19-20 at Sunday River in Newry, ME.


Massachusetts: The MAWEA September Quarterly Meeting, taking place September 25, will provide an introduction on BNR control systems and instrumentation options.


New Hampshire: NHWPCA is hosting its Fall Meeting in Newington, NH on September 13 and a PFAS Sampling Training in Franklin, NH on October 3.


Rhode Island: As part of the Annual Exhibition and Luncheon, RICWA is hosting The Microbial World: Introduction to the Biological Reactor in a Wastewater Treatment Facility, a three-hour course featuring presentations and a case study. Contact RICWA to learn more.


Vermont: An Open House Training Session is being hosted by GMWEA at Essex Junction WWTF on September 24.
