Iowa Crop Improvement Association
Names Budnik New Director
Ryan Budnik has been officially named the director of the Iowa Crop Improvement Association as of September 27 after serving as the acting director. Ryan will also serve on the Iowa Seed Association board of directors. The Iowa Crop Improvement Association is the official seed certifying agency in Iowa and works with Iowa State University to test crop cultivars. Ryan joined the Iowa Crop Improvement Association in 2018 where he has held roles for the Iowa Crop Performance Trials, the official variety trials for the state. Floyd Andre Award Presented to Mike Peterson
The Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has presented the Floyd Andre Award to Mike Peterson, president and owner of Peterson Genetics, for his profound impact on Iowa agriculture and support of Iowa State University. Mike is a past President and longtime supporter of the Iowa Seed Association and also served as a past chair of the American Seed Trade Association.
