USS Boise Crew to Visit Boise Schools

Boise, ID -- 09/12/2022 -- Crew members from the USS Boise, a nuclear-powered naval submarine, will visit a number of Boise schools on Wednesday, September 14th and Friday, September 16th, 2022.


Members of the news media are invited to attend these school visits:

Wednesday, September 14, 2022


  • 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Taft Elementary School, 3722 N. Anderson St., Boise, visit with 5th & 6th grade students.
  • 2:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m., Cynthia Mann Elementary School, 5401 W. Castle Dr., Boise, visit with 3rd & 4th grade students in a school assembly. 


Friday, September 16, 2022


  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Dennis Technical Education Center, 3324 S. Milwaukee Lane, Suite 110, Boise, visit with DTEC secondary students.
  • 11:20 a.m. - 1:10 p.m., Maple Grove Elementary School, 2800 S. Maple Grove Rd., Boise, lunch with 4th, 5th & 6th grade students.
  • 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., West Junior High School, 8371 W. Salt Creek St., Boise, visit with West students.
