ITEEA Announces 2025-2026

Gerald Day Excellence in Authorship Award Winners

RESTON, VA, July 15, 2026 - The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) is proud to announce the top-rated articles from the 2025-2026 publishing year of Technology and Engineering Education (TEE). These outstanding contributions have been selected for their excellence in advancing the field and supporting educators in meaningful, practical ways.

The authors of these articles will be honored with the Gerald Day Excellence in Authorship Award at ITEEA’s 89th Annual Conference, taking place March 31–April 3, 2027, in Louisville, KY.

Named in honor of longtime ITEEA member and former Technology and Engineering Teacher (TET) Review Board Chair Gerald F. Day, the award celebrates exceptional writing and thought leadership in technology and engineering education. Day, a passionate advocate for editorial quality, envisioned this award as a way to recognize authors whose work informs, inspires, and elevates the profession.

TEE Editors-in-Chief Dr. Sharon Bowers and Joan Harper-Neely, DTE shared, "One of the greatest strengths of TEE is the willingness of educators, researchers, and leaders to share their ideas and experiences with one another. These recipients exemplify that spirit through articles that inspire new thinking, strengthen classroom practice, and advance technology and engineering education. We are grateful for their contributions and are delighted to recognize and celebrate this year's award recipients."

Congratulations to the authors of the following award-winning articles
