For there are three that testify:the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

WITH THE YOUTH CHOIR & JUBILATE BELLS

THIS Sunday, May 31st at the 10:30am service

~ Trinity Sunday ~

Honoring the Holy Trinity:

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

With Gratitude,

A BIG thank you for the VERY generous travel purse, cards, gifts, and hugs, and for the many thoughtful expressions of appreciation. Your generosity and kindness have truly touched my heart and will always be remembered... especially when I'm walking the streets in Las Palmas, or driving across the desert in Namibia, or on the back of an elephant in Thailand.

As my time as St. John’s Parish Administrator comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for the many years we have shared together. What began as a bookkeeping position 21 years ago, became so much more. It became a ministry of service, friendship, laughter, compassion, and shared faith. I am deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the meaningful relationships formed over the years.

I am especially thankful to Fr. Henry, Mo. Shivaun, and Deacon Nancy for their trust and support, and to the many parishioners with whom I have been blessed to share such special friendships. It has been a true privilege and a blessing.

Although I still am retiring, I have offered to help (on the administrative side of things) on a part-time basis through the month of June. I am hopeful that this will allow time for a smooth transition and the opportunity to find the perfect replacement.

With heartfelt appreciation & warmest wishes,

Tammy Turner

VESTRY MEETING HIGLIGHTS

STJEC Vestry met on May 20, 2026. Highlights of the meeting is noted below. The full Vestry Minutes can be found posted on the bulletin board outside the Rector's office as well as the bulletin board outside the Meeting Room.

  • Motion to approve the 2026-2027 STJES Budget was made and approved.
  • The church is looking to REALM, a church management software with capabilities similar to that of our current management software, Servant Keeper. Realm is recommended by the diocese and is well integrated with Vanco and has other useful features that could replace Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP), Sign-up Genius, and Servant Keeper at lower cost.
  • Andrew shared information that reflects a 10% increase to the Parish Hall renovation estimates as recommended by the contractor, and the associated financing costs. St. John's needs to raise about $752K over a 3 year time period to complete the Parish Hall renovation. The goal is to have 80% pledges before going to the bank for financing.
