We had a blast celebrating Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents 202Creates Month! 202Creates doesn't just happen in September, it's a movement and we know the District's Creative Economy will keep the energy alive! From the 202Creates Kick-off to the Labor Day Music Festival and the Straight Crankin' World Premiere to DC Radio's One Year Anniversary, The Mayor's Arts Awards, and finally the 202Creates Closing Event, we are filled with gratitude and thankful for the love and support we've received from the creative community!

Let's continue the season of celebration and recognition! The DC Entertainment Office sends its congrats to the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH). In November, CAH will celebrate their 50th Anniversary! As the agency's Interim Director, I'm excited to celebrate this immense milestone with the Agency and the CAH Board of Commissioners.

This month, we are also also excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.  National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15 to October 15 in the United States. This is a time when we come together and celebrate the contributions, heritage, and culture of Hispanic and Latino Americans. To celebrate, we're saluting our 96.3HD4 DC Radio hosts Rosalie Howarth, Sergio Mielniczenko, Antonio "The Cuban Cigar Smoker" Lambertis, and DCN's Cambios de Vida host  Pedro Biaggi, and ask that you show your support by tuning in to their amazing shows!

DC Radio continues to expand by launching three new programs: " Catch The Flo, " a contemporary jazz program hosted by noted DC pianist and entrepreneur Marcus Johnson; " Backstage Beyond the Laughs " with comedian and actress Niki Moore; and " The Sanctuary, " a women's wellness show hosted by Wendi Cherry.
