On October 23rd, 102 professionals graduated from five T2 Center programs at the Student Union Ballroom at the University of Connecticut. Participants graduated from our Public Works Academy, Road Master Program, Road Scholar Program, Legal Traffic Authority Program and Transportation Leadership Program. Keynote speakers included Dr. Kazem Kazerounian, Dean of the School of Engineering, Amy Jackson-Grove, Division Administrator for Federal Highway Administration, James P. Redeker, Commissioner of the CT Department of Transportation and two graduates- Joseph Bragaw, Public Works Director of the Town of East Lyme and Morgan Kennerson, Maintenance Training Coordinator at the CT Department of Transportation. From all of us at the T2 Center- Congratulations! We are truly proud of you and your accomplishments!

A Round of Applause for the Fall Public Works Academy!
Congratulations to everyone who completed the Fall session of our Public Works Academy! Participants completed six weeks of rigorous training on topics like professionalism in public works, storm clean up, chainsaw and snow plow operation, road fundamentals and work zone safety. T2 Center Volunteers to Host New England APWA Chapter Strategic Planning Meeting
On October 29th, the New England Chapter of APWA (NEAPWA) met at the T2 Center for their annual strategic planning meeting. T2 Center Director Donna Shea volunteered to facilitate the meeting and the staff at the T2 Center were happy to host. Many excellent ideas and a lot of hard work came out of the meeting, and we are excited to see what NEAPWA does in this upcoming year! T2 Center Signs Alliance with ConnOSHA
Jeff Saltus, ConnOSHA's Occupational Safety Compliance Officer, joined us at our September Technology Transfer Center Advisory Committee meeting for the signing of the 2015 Training Alliance between the T2 Center and ConnOSHA. Each year we sign a formal agreement to partner on educational outreach programs and briefings for the Connecticut Transportation Community. This year we look forward to working together on timely worker safety briefs that can be used for your safety meetings/toolbox talks.
