The 2016 Snow Conference in Hartford will bring together more than 2,000 snowfighters from every corner of the winter maintenance community. Public, private, rural, metropolitan, domestic, international - they're all sure to be there at the Show for Snow! The 2016 Conference features an exhibit floor packed with the newest equipment and products, quality education programs and technical tours, and opportunities to exchange ideas with manufacturers, distributors, consultants and other public works professionals. Its four days of winter training and networking you can't afford to miss out on.

New England APWA Chapter - 2016 Spring Conference
On April 13, 2016 the New England Chapter for the American Public Works Association (APWA) will be holding its Annual Spring Conference at the Marriot Hotel in Windsor, CT. The conference includes several educational sessions, vendor exhibits and the opportunity to meet and share ideas with Public Works colleagues from all over New England. The educational session topics include:
- Marshfield, MA Experience with Roundabouts
- The Nexus between Public Works and Public Health
- Managing Culverts and Bridges
- Snow Plow Route Optimization

Happy Spring from the T2 Center
Spring is a time to celebrate warmer temperatures, flowers blooming and sunshine. It is also a great time to discuss safety related topics to help everyone stay safe while working on your spring and summer projects.
Our T2 Center "Tailgate Talks" are a great resource for your team meetings.
Each Tailgate Talk focuses on one on-the-job safety topic and is designed to be shared with your crew at the beginning of their day.
When employees are presented with safety material in small chunks, in a setting they are comfortable with, they are more likely to retain that information and put it into practice. This series covers real safety concerns that your crews face at work, such as operating vibrating equipment, how to be safe when using compressed air, and being alert of moving equipment.

Leadership Lessons Newsletters - Available on the T2 Center Website
In February of 2015, the T2 Center announced the Transportation Leadership Program's (TLP) new electronic newsletter, Leadership Lessons.
The publication is sent monthly to current members of our TLP and our program alumni. This monthly publication is used to keep members in touch with the latest information on leadership skills and as a way to keep them connected to each other and the T2 Center. Leadership Lessons highlights hot topics, shares useful resources, and showcases the great work being done by our cohort members.
We received such great feedback on this publication that we wanted to make the archive of the issues available to the entire Public Works Community. Go to the T2 Centers Website, under Resources tab, and you will find all of the published Leadership Lessons. New issues will be posted each month.
