A somber, but important start to this week's newsletter
|
Today is International Overdose Day, a day designed to remember those we love and have lost and to bring hope that fewer families will suffer the pain of loss due to substance abuse disorder.
A remembrance event is planned for 6:30 tonight at the Ross County Courthouse (Orchard Hill UCC on North Courtland Drive), if inclement weather arrives.

A SPECIAL LIVESTREAM EVENT

With Delta variant driving COVID cases up, learn how your business could be impacted
|
|
Our cases will close August today at more than double the rate they were in April. While I won't belabor the point, COVID is back in Ohio and Ross County with a vengeance. That's why it's important to have good, accurate information from a trusted source.
I'm asking you to join me at 8:30 a.m. Thursday for a special Livestream event "COVID-19 and the Workplace," a conversation between Adena Health System and the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce. The event will be broadcast through our Facebook page.
My guest will be Dr. Kirk Tucker, the chief clinical officer at Adena. He's been with AHS for 15 years and currently has system-wide oversight on and leadership of clinical operations and quality of care. He's been the face of many of Adena's COVID updates throughout the
Our chat will focus on providing the latest information and analysis of the rise in COVID cases in Ross County, what it could mean to your business, and some practical advice on how to keep you, your employees and customers and everyone around you safe during this time.
We also hope you'll share your own questions that we can ask Dr. Tucker and get his answers to allow us to stay open safely and continue serving the community.
