Welcome to NEXA | NEWS!

As 2022 soon comes to a close, we’re very pleased to share some highlights from the past few months with you. We know you have busy schedules, so you may not have seen some of our more recent NEXA happenings posted on social media, and invite you to take a few minutes to peruse our news.

NEXA continues to grow both in North America and Ireland with new projects, clients, services, and team members.

In October, our Ireland team welcomed two new strategic hires Daniel Scannell, Operations Manager and Barry O’Brien, Project Manager II. Both bring extensive expertise to their respective roles, and will work closely with the team to support our continued growth in Ireland. We also expanded our service offerings within the Transcat | NEXA family with the acquisition of Complete Calibrations. You can read more about the founder, Darren O’Sullivan and his vision for “calibration laboratories of the future” in this issue. And NEXA’s Validation team successfully completed our first Ireland-based project for WuXi Vaccines Ireland, a subsidiary of WuXi Biologics, and we look forward to continuing our work with our new client, and many others. We also have an exciting new video to share that showcases our Validation Thermal Mapping expertise, so be sure to check it out below.

Earlier this fall, we were certified as a “Great Place to Work Ireland” (GPTW) and more recently also recognized as a “GPTW in the Pharma & Healthcare Industry.” This was a humbling accomplishment, and we are so appreciative of our dedicated team members in both Ireland and the U.S. for whom without this recognition would not be possible.

There’s more news to share in the coming months that we think you would find of value. So please be sure to stay connected with NEXA by following us on social media. In the meantime, check out our news below.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season!

Cheers,

Dan O'Connor

Delivering Results | Going Paperless: A Valuable Change

Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company with numerous sites throughout Ireland, hired NEXA to work at their Brinny site to migrate all instruments from their legacy paper-based CMMS to a new paperless electronic CMMS.

Business Challenge

The client Global IT Group decided to utilize our team’s expertise to review their current data, ensure any and all areas of enhancement were identified, and to develop an action plan to make their business processes more efficient.

Project Challenges

The client’s legacy pipeline was biopharmaceutical products, but has since adapted to support the manufacturing of vaccines. The instrumentation across all (5) five labs is both vast in technologies and applications. Our team was hired for our ability to successfully manage complex projects within the laboratory environment.

The process included both migrating to a new paperless CMMS, and to also standardize the calibration approach and processes to ensure they are aligned with global regulations. Through both the expertise and knowledge sharing model of our global team, we have been able to advise our client on best practices and global regulation compliance resulting in a seamless and comprehensive project phase execution.

We were able to provide our client with yearly cost savings of 96k!
