Countdown! 13 days to submit comments
Mailed your letter to the City Council?
Now tell the Line Siting Committee what you think about overhead lines through Jefferson Park - They are meeting Sept 13
TWO WAYS TO LET THE LINE SITING COMMITTEE KNOW :
1) Preferred Method: On-line
https://efiling.azcc.gov/online-services/utilities-public-comment-external . Fill in in all your pertinent info, then the name of Company - Tucson Electric Power, Docket number L-00000C-21-0288-00192, Indicate if you are for, against, or neutral, then fill in your comments. For complete directions and info from the issues/ opinions in the sample letter go to:

2) USPS Mail If you want to write and send a letter, it is quite a cumbersome procedure! You must include the original and 25 copies, and send to the address listed on the Jefferson Park website. You may use the sample letter of concerns/opinions, and cut, copy, paste, or add what you wish.
Public input is critical to the "Line Siting Committee"
Deadline to submit all comments - August 30

STILL IMPORTANT - MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL LETTER !
USPS Mail:
              Mayor Regina Romero
              Members of Tucson City Council
              Attn: City Clerk’s Office
PO Box 27210        Tucson, AZ 85726-721

or Email: cityclerk@tucsonaz.gov  Be sure to include Mayor and Council in the body of your message so it is distributed to the mayor and all council members.

Also, remember TEP's last minute addition of a route through Jefferson Park down Vine is now on the table! Our neighbors on Vine and /or Park Ave will suffer the loss of property value.

The goal of all of these efforts will be to persuade our elected officials and the regulatory agencies that an above-ground, high voltage transmission through our city core and residential areas is wrong for Tucson’s future.

Will we get Greenspace?
OUCH, the Goatheads!
Goatheads are a noxious weed covered in multi-pronged barbs that stick in shoes, dog's feet, and bicycle tires. Track them into your house and you'll find out why it's called puncture vine!

Please take a few minutes and check your property and those nearby to see if you have goatheads. If we all do our part, we can get rid of this weed in the neighborhood! (E. Posthumus)
