RSVP Now: Building Safety Month Open House 

The General Plan 4-Year Review team wants to hear from you! Explore the virtual open house and share your thoughts on the future of our community. Your input will help shape how the City decides where to build housing, offices, and more. Comments are open through May 31.

The Code Enforcement Division is helping keep San José communities safe. We recently collaborated with the San José Police Department (SJPD) on an operation that shut down four illegal massage parlors in San José. At least three survivors were contacted and provided resources that may help investigators reach additional potential survivors. Inspectors will follow-up with property owners to ensure compliance and help keep our neighborhoods and neighbors safe.

Through the Massage Program, our Code Enforcement Division works collaboratively with SJPD for routine inspections, certification verification, compliance monitoring, complaint investigations, and coordinated enforcement efforts.

Code Enforcement remains a vital piece of San José's broader public safety network.

Introducing My San José 

May is Historic Preservation month and we want to hear from you about the places that give San José its rich legacy. We're launching My San José as a community project to pinpoint some of what makes our great city great. You can share your stories about a historic place in our new survey and interactive map. Entries can be a home or apartment, local business and community center, park, mural, cultural landmark, place connected to activism or important social movement. It can also be a site that no longer exists but holds important memories.
