NFCA Updates
NFCA Action – Over the next two months, NFCA will be busy. In October, NFCA provides input to inspection standards at ASTM’s E06 Committee Meetings in Houston, TX. We will also travel to ICC’s Public Comment Hearings to be sure the fireproofing industry is represented. And, we’ve been working at the National Building Code of Canada’s code development process too. The action doesn’t stop here at NFCA.
NFCA’s Board Meets – NFCA’s volunteer Board of Directors meets in September. We are pleased to have a very talented group that provides strategic vision to the association all year long. NFCA’s Board meets regularly to discuss fireproofing and fire-resistance issues, in addition to the association’s fiscal health.
Wear appropriate PPE when in the work area to help prevent serious injury, including: eye injury, hearing loss, inhalation of toxic fumes and burns. Protective equipment includes, but is not limited to protective eyewear • hard hat • hearing protection • respirator • protective clothing and gloves • steel-toed work shoes/boots • fall protection.
