  SAFETY TIP OF THE MONTH
Nearly 6.5 million people work at approximately 252,000 construction sites across the nation on any given day. The fatal injury rate for the construction industry is higher than the national average in this category for all industries. This information is from OSHA's Worker Safety Series. The fireproofing jobsite many times, includes five of the six main hazard potentials: falls, scaffold collapse, electric shock, failure to use proper personal equipment, and repetitive motion injuries.

Awareness is at the top of the list to stay safe! Click here to go to the OSHA website to read more.
The NFCA Fireproofing Safety Information booklet focuses specifically on the safety and hazard/risk conditions and environments faced by fireproofing applicators, and how to reduce their risk for injury on the worksite. NFCA Members can download the booklet for free from the "Members Only" section on the website. Printed copies are available to NFCA Members for a fee.
