NFF's Executive Director
Position Summary:
Hybrid position ideal for a Subject Matter Expert with a focus on training and product development for the Mental Health workforce that supports families who are parenting children who experience mental health and/or substance use challenges. This SME will possess skills and experience in project management, including grant management.
Under the direction of the Project Director, the Project Specialist will be responsible for supporting NFSTAC activities:
1. Oversight of grant expectations and deliverables
2. Assistance with curriculum development for a national audience
3. Design and execution of webinars and other national trainings
4. Development of content and training modules pertaining to supporting families parenting children who experience mental health and/or substance use challenges and the workforce
5. Facilitation of workforce development events (i.e., peer learning communities)
Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience conducting and participating on national platforms
- Experience creating curriculum and training content designed to support families with loved ones who experience mental health and/or substance use challenges across the lifespan
- Experience creating content for the workforce that supports families
- Demonstrated ability to write and design family-friendly content and materials
- Demonstrated ability to organize and execute assignments independently
- Strong communication skills to educate, partner with, and engage with national stakeholders and internal National Federation of Families team
- Excellent technical and content writing skills. Writing sample must be submitted
- Knowledge of relevant systems and family-run organizations in the areas of Mental Health, Substance Use
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to work as a member of the team.

- Respects the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of staff members, state affiliates and partners
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently in remote work setting, as part of a national team
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree or better in Humanities, Social Service, Communication or other relevant degree from an accredited University or college
- Must have strong virtual communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Proven experience in editing, writing, and training development
- Proficiency using Zoom
- Experience using Constant Contact, or a similar email program is preferred
- Experience using Canva is a plus
- Five years professional work experience or more
