NFFE is urging all union members to participate in National Call-in Day, tomorrow July 18th, in order to fight President Trump’s proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget. The budget is still being negotiated, so it is important now more than ever that you call your House Representative to voice your opposition to the proposed cuts to mandatory spending and federal benefits in the FY18 Budget.
These cuts pose serious threats to federal retirement that will degrade your annuity, jeopardizing your ability to retire. Federal annuities are not given, but earned through hard work. Don’t let your hard work be compromised -Call the congressional switchboard tomorrow.
For more information, read NFFE's letter to the House Budget Committee, here.

The National Federation of Federal Employees is continuing to work diligently in our ongoing effort to ensure that the U.S. Air Traffic Control system remains to be operated solely for the public’s benefit and safety, not for the benefit of wealthy airline CEOs that will operate a privatized system.
NFFE and its coalition partners are working tirelessly on Capitol Hill, lobbying both Democrats and Republicans to vote “no” on the dangerous and profiteering privatization of our country’s Air Traffic Control System.

NFFE and our coalition partners have claimed a victory in combatting proposed legislation that would strip federal employees of their rights and benefits. We successfully urged the removal of language and provisions from the Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that posed a threat to federal employees.
We have ensured that provisions will not be included which would have forced the conversion of all Department of Defense General Schedule employees to Term employees.
In addition, we successfully removed language that endangered civil service protections. The original act would have converted civilian employees from Title V to Title X, effectively stripping them of most of their due process rights.
The successful defense of these protections shows our unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of our members and all federal employees.
