STAELA KEEGAN, MSW, LCSW, LCADC, CLINICAL DIRECTOR
NFSB is pleased to announce that Staela Keegan, MSW, LCSW, LCADC, Interim Clinical Director has accepted the position on a permanent basis.
During Keegan's long association with NFSB, she has served in multiple capacities, including staff clinician, intake coordinator, program leader and coordinator, and clinical supervisor.

As part of the clinical team, she has been responsive to local needs at large and now, more than ever, is eager to continue to grow NFSB's community involvement.

Keegan is looking forward to diverse possibilities at the Center as it is poised to expanded services in an increasingly post-pandemic environment.
NFSB ROCK HUNGER IV BENEFIT - A TERRIFIC EVENT!
On June 5, Nutley Family Service Bureau held their 4th Rock Hunger fundraiser.

NFSB thanks the many supporters who made this event possible, including:

The bands who contributed their talent - The Adventures of Matte Black, Drunk Uncles, The Sticky Wickets, The Attic, and The Porch Rockers.

Marc Conca, Old Canal Inn owner, who contributed the venue. NFSB volunteers who contributed their energy and efforts.

We are grateful to the Nutley community, who engaged and rocked along to help make this a spectacular event. Rock Hunger IV doubled its previous fundraising total, reaching over $10K. Proceeds go to NFSB social service programs, particularly The Pantry.
THE BEDFORD GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER FOR NFSB PROGRAMS
NFSB and the Glen Ridge Country Club are partnering for the The Bedford Golf Classic, a tournament & fundraiser, which will take place on Monday, July 12th.

Proceeds go to supporting operations organization-wide, including programs which provide a range of interventions such as free workshop groups for children, case management which works to connect community members with needed social services, and the Pantry.

NFSB is currently supporting over 350 Pantry households and has provided over 5,000 hours of mental health counseling, thanks in part to generous donations and sponsorships.
NFSB PARTNERS WITH DEPARTMENT PUBLIC AFFAIRS
May was Mental Health Awareness month. NFSB and Nutley Township partner to make Nutley a stigma-free community.
Nutley Stigma-Free Community
In recognition of Mental Awareness Month, John V. Kelly and the Nutley Public Affairs and Health Departments, in partnership with the Nutley Family Service Bureau highlighted a township-wide pledge to make Nutley a stigma-free community, and invite resident participation.

Stigma-Free Zones aim to inspire public interest and open dialogues about stigma, as well as raise awareness of the disease of mental illness. NFSB's Vision is that Nutley is a community where mental well being is valued as an integral part of life, and encourages this initiative. Read Full Press Release.

Another initiative, wherein NFSB partnered with the Nutley Public Affairs and Health Departments, offered COVID-19 vaccinations to residents and township employees. The concerted effort resulted in furthering immunizations which contribute to township health and safety.

Nutley Family Service Bureau sincerely thanks all the Scouts, Parents, Troop Leaders, Volunteers and generous residents of Nutley for making Scouting for Food 2021, a RECORD breaking success.
