Our 2024 Annual Report Is Here!
In 2024, NGCP made significant strides toward impactful change, from launching the Corporate Leadership Council to expanding youth-led initiatives such as QuantumGirls and Connected Girls.
Our Annual Report showcases how we promoted access to STEM through strong partnerships, research-driven programs, and national leadership. This includes updated insights from the State of Girls and Women in STEM report and continued progress with the Brite Project, which explores how girls build STEM identity through hands-on, community-based learning.

Lydia, Inventor and Youth Advisory Board Member
At just 12 years old, Lydia invented the “Beat the Heat Car Seat,” a life-saving device designed to prevent hot car deaths in children. Her creativity and drive to solve real-world problems embody the kind of innovation we strive to uplift through our Youth Advisory Board. Lydia reminds us that no idea is too small-and no age too young-to make a big impact. We’re proud to support her journey and celebrate the powerful voice she brings to NGCP.

Did you know that podcasting can be a powerful way to engage girls in STEM?
A recent study by Sager, Milton, and Walkington (2025) explored how girls of color at a summer camp used podcasting as a hands-on, collaborative STEM learning experience. The results?
✨Girls built strong group bonds that boosted confidence and belonging.
🎙️Flexible leadership and role-sharing created a dynamic, supportive environment for learning.
This research highlights how creative, student-led projects can open new doors in informal STEM education.

Discovery Education's Career Connect

Health4Her – Texas Branch
Health4Her is a student-led nonprofit focused on advancing women’s health through access, advocacy, and education. The Texas branch, led by high schoolers Adhya and Maira, has become one of the organization’s most active teams—starting with donation drives and now leading impactful medical seminars on topics like the gender gap in clinical trials. Project Scientist Virtual Scholars Application Open
Applications are now open for Project Scientist's Virtual Scholars Program. This Fall, scholars ages 13-18 will become Brilliant Builders & Bold Breakers! Each session, students will take on a hands-on challenge: engineer an umbrella, build a wind-up racer, design a toy, create a robotic arm, explore how eyes work, and even invent something brand new to solve a problem! From electrical circuits to hydraulics, magnets to motors, they'll discover the power of creativity and problem-solving while having tons of fun. Learn more and apply by August 11, 2025.

Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp for High School Students
Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp is a free, twenty-hour introduction to Artificial Intelligence for high school students. Students who complete the program continue to receive mentorship and AI learning opportunities until graduation. Apply by September 30, 2025.
