During Women’s History Month (March 2024), NGCP honors and celebrates all the incredible women countering stereotypes, inspiring youth, and breaking barriers in STEM for future generations. Participants will hear the personal career journeys, including barriers and challenges faced by a dynamic panel of women STEM professionals at different points in their careers. Leave this webinar with tips, advice, and resources for supporting girls and women in STEM in your own settings.

Cyber-Righst: A Virtual Town Hall Event

April 11, 2024 Time: 3pm PT/ 6pm ET

This Virtual Town Hall will explore the role of cybersecurity in safeguarding privacy and human rights. Hosted by Board Member, Sandra Yang, this event features experts who offer insights and strategies for social media users and software developers. Discussions will include the digital education gap and AI accuracy impact on censorship. Empower yourself to advocate for digital rights and find inspiration, whether you're a teenager navigating an interconnected world or a tech professional seeking new perspectives.

Women's History Month: To celebrate, NGCP has included resources to support and encourage girls to pursue careers in STEM.

Career Girls: A comprehensive video-based career exploration tool for girls featuring diverse women STEM role models. It's free to use and contains 16,000 videos, as well as career quizzes and resources.

IF/THEN® Collection: Created in partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies and the Association of Science and Technology Centers, the IF/THEN® Collection is a free digital library with photos, videos, posters, activities, and other assets featuring diverse women STEM innovators – all available for educational and other non-commercial use.

National Women's History Museum: Explore resources, including lesson plans, biographies, and posters of women in STEM trailblazers throughout history. Search by the theme "STEM".

Portray Her 2.0: Representations of Women STEM Characters in Media report

Developed by the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, in partnership with IF/THEN®, an initiative of Lyda Hill Philanthropies, this groundbreaking report summarizes how women in STEM are portrayed on TV and film and includes a number of valuable recommendations for the field. Learn more.

A Mighty Girl's 16 Women Scientists You Should Know 

It's a rare person, child or adult, who can name more than two or three female scientists even though women have made important contributions to the sciences for centuries. To help give more women in science their due, A Mighty Girls shares the stories of sixteen historic female scientists, each of whom blazed new trails in their disciplines.

Girls Who Code: At Home Activities 

Code at Home activities, help youth build computer science skills through interdisciplinary topics with real-world application, each featuring a pioneering woman in technology. Activities include unplugged and online options of varying levels of difficulty.
