Hello Parents!

Man, I really wish we were having Midweek tonight! We're taking a small break/reset before Summer Nights begins, but I find myself missing Wednesday nights with students -- the laughter, the games, getting to know students better, being able to share the message God has put on my heart with them, the beauty of teenagers worshiping together. It's all so incredible!

But just to be clear, there is no Midweek gatherings until June 14, when we kick-off our Summer Nights. There is, however, opportunity for students to serve at VBS, June 5-9. These elementary kids really look up to teenagers at church, and what a solid way to share how important Jesus is to you by helping younger kids better know Him! It's not too late to sign-up to volunteer.

Also, a really important reminder... if your student is signed up for camp (through New Hope), but you have not filled out the paperwork for Highland Lakes (through Highland Encampment), you must do so ASAP! The encampment is filling up their spots, and your child can't go to camp if that paperwork is not complete. We don't want the camp to fill your child's spot due to missing paperwork, so be sure to get it in as soon as you can! If you haven't done this, just follow the instructions from your confirmation email from New Hope.

As summer schedule starts, don't forget an important way for your student to stay connected with friends and community at church is through their Hope Group on Sundays. 6th-8th grade Hope Groups meet at 9:30 am and 9th-12th Hope Groups meet at 11:00 am. We would love to see your student there studying scriptures in community.

Lastly, I just have to say what an awesome senior class we have at New Hope, and that we should not take them for granted! Last week we got to hear from our seniors and gain insight on how they navigated the craziness of high school. I am so excited for their passion to reach our younger students, and I can't wait to see more and more equally passionate senior classes filling our stage at New Hope.

I hope you and your family enjoy these first few weeks of summer, a new pace to slow down and rest more, and I look forward to being back with all our students on June 14!
