30 th Anniversary of the Ryan White Cares Act
August 6, 2020 | 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET
The story of the Ryan White Cares Act is the story of many community activists coming together to create real change. Come hear the story of Jeanne White-Ginder, mother of Ryan White, and how she and hemophilia and gay activists worked together to ensure that people affected by HIV/AIDS could get life-saving treatment and care. You’ll also hear from Dana Francis, MSW UCSF Hemophilia Program, and Craig Kessler, MD Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in this moving session that will honor those who lost their lives to HIV/AIDS, and discuss why advocacy in the bleeding disorders community is still as important today.
Mini Yoga Series
There are so many great educational sessions, networking events and symposia during the eight days of the Conference but that means a lot of sitting and watching. Take a moment and move your body with our Mini Yoga series! Suitable for everyone regardless of mobility, we’ll guide you through short lessons, less than 10-minutes where you can breathe intentionally, reflect, and recharge.

Why add this to your BDC schedule? Just 10 minutes of physical postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) can help create a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga practice helps reduce stress, anxiety and pain, while strengthening the body. Join us and feel refreshed!
