Ambassador Opportunities
Are you a Make It OK or Northland Healthy Minds Ambassador wondering what you can do to help Make It OK in the Northland?

We have the answer! With the start of the Mental Health Mondays Film Series at The Underground, on January 14, 2019, we will need 5-6 volunteers each month to help with various activities from helping direct audience members to the theater to staffing our NHM table. The time commitment is from 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event until about 8:00 p.m. If interested, please contact Shannnon.

In addition, we will have a table at the upcoming Maria Bamford shows at the NorShor Theatre on February 24 and 25, 2019. We are looking for two people for each night. Again, please contact Shannon for further details.

Please continue to watch our newsletter for additional opportunities to volunteer.
Mental Health Monday- Film Series at The Underground

The first offering is a two-part documentary is provided in part by Make It Ok and Twin Cities Public Television. In the film Make It OK-Reframing Mental Illness, Maria Bamford, Duluth, Minnesota native, uses her talent of humor to raise awareness around mental health stigma and shares her own story of life with mental illness. In the film Make It OK-Facing Mental Illness, the story picks up with three individuals facing mental illness and the gifts they bring despite their struggle. Make It Ok is a Minnesota partnership co-production of HealthPartners and Twin Cities Public Television. Following the screening, there will be a discussion facilitated by Dr. Carolyn Phelps, PhD, LP.

Getting the Word out
As we continue planning for our own NHM events, we know that there are other events going on in the area that could benefit from our presence- as a sponsor, presenter or exhibitor.

If you know of an upcoming event that attendance from NHM would serve our mission, please let us know by emailing event details to Shannon. Please include as much detailed info as you can prior to submitting.
