March 25, 2020

Dear Colleagues:

I hope you are staying safe during this trying time. After working closely with the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, we were unable to find a date in the Fall for NHMA's 24 th Annual Conference.  Thus, we have postponed the NHMA 24 th Annual Conference from April 2020 until March 18 to March 21, 2021 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, Washington, DC.

As previously communicated, we have been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19. Based on the latest guidance from Federal and State public health officials, travel bans implemented by different institutions, an expanding number of cases of COVID-19, the WHO's declaration of a global pandemic, it became clear to us that this was the best course of action.

NHMA members are in the front lines helping fight COVID-19 and we feel that convening the 24 th Annual Conference in 2021 is in the best interest of everyone.

We thank you and the entire NHMA community for understanding the extreme difficulty of this decision and for your commitment to planning this conference—from the Board of Directors and its planning committee to the presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors who shared their time, expertise, collaboration, and leadership. We deeply appreciate your contributions to our community.

Everyone who has registered to attend the meeting have two choices . First, you can request a full refund by contacting our staff at  [email protected] . Second, you can keep your registration and it will be credited towards the conference that will occur in 2021. Please cancel your travel and hotel reservations to avoid any charges.

For our sponsors and exhibitors, we will amend the contracts and invoices, if you request us to do so, to reflect the support for the postponed meeting to March 2021. Our consultant will contact each of you to confirm your participation for March 2021.

For any presenter (speaker/poster) or moderator accepted for April 2020 , our staff will be contacting each of you over the next few weeks to request if you can participate in March 2021.

We will open up the Call for Abstracts next month for new speakers on our conference website:  www.NHMA-Conf.com

Lastly, if you have any questions, please contact us at  [email protected] .
